About This Content Ascension: Gift of the Elements is the eleventh game in the Ascension series. This set sees the return of Events from Storm of Souls and Immortal Heroes; Events enter the game via the center deck and create an immediate impact for all players. However, unlike in previous sets, Events can now be acquired and transformed into powerful Hero cards. This set introduces two new mechanisms: infest and empower. Infest allows you to mess with an opponent's deck, forcing them to draw useless cards. And it's not restricted to void or enlightened at all, it's just constant banishing across the board. I like the banishing mechanic and all, but this expansion sort of pollutes its usefulness and makes it a constant recurring process for everyone.There are mechanics for putting monsters in your opponents discard piles, where they usually don't do anything if played. That's irritating.Save your money, this one isn't worth it. There are a few better sets to play with..
